A Hair Transplant is a process that basically refers to using hair from a specific region of the head to be rooted to another area where hair is absent. After sometime, the hair begins to root itself in the new spot and start growing. Hair transplants are used in SHIFT Hair Transplant at times as a treatment for hair loss problems that cannot be fixed in any other ways. Usually, 2 different types of hair transplant in Turkey techniques can be used for this purpose, which include the following.
This is typically the oldest popular form of hair transplant. In this method, a hair strip is taken from the donor area and implanted on the balding or thinning area. Then, sutures are used for closing the donor region. The spot takes a few days to heal. The method lets transplanting of several grafts in one session.
A temporary rash arises in the spot where the hair was rooted. After some time, the sutures are taken off and surgeons in SHIFT Hair Transplant examine the scalp. The transplanted grafts have to start growing in around 3 – 4 months. The method is generally conducted fully after 1 year, once the individual stops taking vitamin supplements or anti hair-loss products and starts going for normal hair cutting.
This is a more recent process and is more famous than FUT. In this method, the hair strands are transplanted into the area from the sides and rear section of the head in 1 – 4 clusters. This is done to mimic natural hair growth. The process makes hair appear more natural, and is highly advantageous as no deep cuts are involved. This reduces the time for recovery and leads to no visible scars on the head.
In this process, small puncture holes are put in the spots of the scalp where hair follicles are extracted from. Follicular units are drawn from these holes. Although scarring is involved in the method, there is no scar visible in this case as is observed in the strip method. Following the extraction of follicular units, they are put in the tiny slits in the head’s bald spots. New hair starts growing from them after some months.
